Dealing with injuries, a scheduling disadvantage, and perhaps some other internal locker room quirks, the Bucks opted to go with a rotation that excluded most of their players who would have been expected to play under the circumstances.
That didn’t quite lead to the blowout it could have, perhaps due to catching an out of form Denver team off guard, but also due to the spirited performance that a clearly hungry group provided under the circumstances.
Coming as close as three points at times in the fourth quarter, the Bucks gave themselves a much greater opportunity to steal a win than most would have expected when the lineup was announced.
With that considered, let’s take a closer look at the key takeaways from Monday’s loss to the Nuggets.
