When the NBA season was suspended last week, the Milwaukee Bucks found themselves comfortably on top of the NBA standings with 17 games still to be played on their regular season schedule.
If things had proceeded as usual, it would have taken just a 7-10 finish for the Bucks to match their 60-win tally of a year ago, and that in itself would have been a major letdown in its own right.

That speaks to the remarkable improvement that Milwaukee have managed to make beyond what was already one of the best seasons in the franchise’s history in 2018-19.
Taking another step forward like that is undoubtedly tied to increased comfort and familiarity in Mike Budenholzer’s system, continually growing confidence, and the positive impact of the Bucks’ offseason acquisitions.
But it’s also a byproduct of impressive individual development too, as many of the Bucks players have improved notably over the course of the season.
