vs. Cleveland Cavaliers, 10/28/19

Before the Bucks became the unrelenting steamroller they were over the rest of the NBA, their opening to the 2019-20 season was far from a smooth start.

That stood true in a late October meeting versus the Cavaliers, a game in which the Bucks couldn’t quite shake Cleveland free until late in what ended up being a 129-112 victory.

In a rare turn by his standards, it was Connaughton who led the Bucks’ 3-point barrage on that Monday night as his 17 points were fueled by a sparkling, spotless 4-of-4 showing from beyond the arc.

While that outing didn’t exactly foreshadow an improved year shooting the ball, considering Connaughton is shooting 32.1 percent from long distance at this point in the season, it did reinforce that the Notre Dame product is at his best when his shooting stroke is ironed out on those rare nights.

With his improved shooting coming out of the All-Star break, one could only hope Connaughton’s marksmanship can resemble his recent form if and when play resumes this season.
