Milwaukee Bucks players to face Dallas Mavericks counterparts in NBA 2K
By Adam McGee
With the two teams unable to play in real life, three players each from the Milwaukee Bucks and Dallas Mavericks will compete in NBA 2K on Sunday.
Do you miss seeing your favorite Milwaukee Bucks players compete? If so, you’ll have a chance to remedy that to some extent on Sunday afternoon.
On the day when the Bucks and Mavericks were originally scheduled to take to the court at American Airlines Center, three players from each team will instead go head-to-head in a series of games in NBA 2K20.

The Bucks will be represented by Donte DiVincenzo, D.J. Wilson, and Cameron Reynolds, while Seth Curry, Dorian Finney-Smith, and Antonius Cleveland will be at the controls for the Mavericks.
DiVincenzo and Curry will also be taking up team captain responsibilities for their teams, and providing commentary on camera throughout.
The games will make up a best of five series, where bragging rights will be up for grabs for the winning team.
Considering how NBA players have been starved of the chance to get their competitive juices flowing of late, I’d expect this matchup to be taken very seriously.
Perhaps adding a little fuel to the fire, Curry brought up the Bucks while taking over the Mavericks’ Twitter account for a Q&A a couple of days ago.
When pressed for his favorite game of the season, he opted for the Mavericks’ road win at Fiserv Forum to bring an end to Milwaukee’s 18-game winning streak.
DiVincenzo and Co. certainly won’t have forgotten that game either, and for now, Sunday’s 2K clash is the closest they’ll be able to get to exacting some form of revenge.
While Curry has been actively promoting his Twitch account while playing 2K since the NBA season was suspended, it remains to be seen just how skilled Milwaukee’s trios are when trading in the hardwood for the virtual court. Who knows, maybe careers in the 2K League aren’t out of the question at some point down the line?
All will be revealed on Sunday afternoon. If you want to check out the Bucks in virtual action against the Mavericks, you’ll be able to watch the series unfold from 2pm CT live via the BucksTV channel on Twitch.
