February 24 at Washington Wizards

Middleton didn’t just contain his assault on the Wizards in his career night as he powered the Bucks in a 137-134 overtime victory in Washington nearly four weeks later on February 24.

The former Aggie was extended his shooting over the Wizards on the road and was carrying an abnormal Bucks performance, considering Antetokounmpo was saddled with foul trouble due to some questionable foul calls.

When the Bucks’ control was tested by an incredible fourth quarter led by Wizards All-Star guard Bradley Beal, Middleton hit a poorly timed cold shooting spell as Milwaukee withstood just enough of Washington’s pressure to force a much needed overtime period in chances of pulling out a victory.

Thankfully, Middleton was able to pull out of his fourth quarter slump in the overtime period as he scored nine of the Bucks’ 14 overtime points, which included a killer triple over Wizards guard Shabazz Napier with 31 seconds to go that effectively gave the Bucks enough breathing room to take the win. Certainly not a moment too soon for Middleton to break out of his rough patch.

All in all, Middleton posted 40 points on 28 shots (2-for-8 from downtown, 8-for-8 from the foul line), five rebounds, five assists, three steals, two turnovers and was a +6 in over 40 and-a-half minutes of action.
