In their final dress rehearsal before they restart their 2019-20 season, the Milwaukee Bucks fell to the New Orleans Pelicans Monday night.

Ahead of the season re-opener later in the week, the Milwaukee Bucks closed out their scrimmages in Orlando with a 124-103 defeat to the New Orleans Pelicans Monday night.

The result couldn’t have been seen from the Bucks’ hot start as they reached double digits a little more than two-and-a-half minutes into the night. New Orleans woke up from their rusty start as the quarter gradually went on, but Milwaukee held a 30-21 edge at the end of one.

The Bucks’ crisp start eventually fizzled out and their offensive rhythm eventually was disrupted by poor offensive execution that would go on to plague them for the majority of the night.

That opened the door for the Pelicans to eat into the Bucks’ hold on the game, yet Milwaukee hung on to a 53-50 lead going into the halftime break.

Eventually, the Bucks’ sloppy execution by their lofty standards gave way to a hot shooting quarter by renowned Pelicans sharpshooter J.J. Redick. That, in turn, gave the Pelicans control of the contest, which they wouldn’t relinquish for the rest of the night.

And trailing by nine going into the final frame, the Bucks didn’t fix their issues enough in time to vault a valiant comeback, leaving them with a less than ideal final dress rehearsal ahead of kicking back on with the real thing later this week.

So without further ado, let’s review what stood out the most in the Bucks’ 124-103 loss to the New Orleans Pelicans from Monday night.
