Without Giannis Antetokounmpo, the Milwaukee Bucks slipped to another bubble defeat as they lost out to the Toronto Raptors on Monday night.

Things aren’t necessarily getting any better or even all that more reassuring for the Milwaukee Bucks in the bubble, although Monday’s defeat to their biggest rivals still isn’t necessarily something that should lead to sheer panic just yet.

The Bucks are undeniably going through a difficult moment — easily their most difficult since the coaching change in the summer of 2018 — but until the games really start to count again and the playoffs get underway, it’s hard to get a true read on just what’s going on with Milwaukee at present.

More from Bucks News

Giannis Antetokounmpo’s absence for this clash with the Toronto Raptors certainly took some edge off of proceedings, as did multiple key players missing out for Toronto too. A leg injury inside the first minute for Wesley Matthews didn’t help either, and the same can be said for a considerably later blow to the head forcing Pat Connaughton out of the game too.

With that, though, an up and down game from Khris Middleton and Eric Bledsoe certainly didn’t best serve the Bucks’ chances of a win in this one, although there were some standout performances from the bench that at least made it competitive down the stretch.

So without further ado, let’s take a closer look at the key takeaways from Sunday’s loss to the Raptors.
