The Milwaukee Bucks’ playoff run couldn’t have gotten off to a worse start as they fell to the Orlando Magic in a 122-110 Game 1 defeat Tuesday afternoon.

If you were expecting the Milwaukee Bucks to flip the switch going into the playoffs, you were sorely mistaken as their 122-110 Game 1 defeat to the Orlando Magic Tuesday afternoon reignited the concerns of their bubble play so far.

It looked as if the Bucks had came to play with a strong opening start, at least that was the case until the Magic started burying shots from mid-range and from three. That only set the tone for the afternoon and the Magic continued to work that formula by holding a 33-23 edge through one.

Things turned from bad to worse in the second quarter where the Magic once led by as much as 18, their biggest lead of the day, until the Bucks broke out of a long scoring drought midway through the frame.

Still, the Bucks’ slow-moving comeback effort led to them going into the locker room at halftime carrying 62-52 deficit.

The start of the second half finally saw a glimmer of hope and some much-needed urgency for the Bucks as they ate into their deficit and came within 1 of the Magic roughly through the first three-and-a-half minutes into the third quarter. But Orlando stayed resilient and quickly regained their double-digit advantage over the Bucks to lead 92-79 at the end of the third quarter.

With their backs firmly against the wall, Milwaukee’s continued efforts to fight through adversity sunk into further despair over the fourth quarter and ultimately led to their Game 1 loss and going down 0-1 in their series with the Magic.

So without further ado, let’s break down what stood out from the Milwaukee Bucks’ Game 1 loss to the Orlando Magic from Tuesday afternoon.
