With the Milwaukee Bucks in the market to upgrade their backcourt, we look at four veteran guards that they could make a move for if the price is right.

Speculation has already run wild this early into the Milwaukee Bucks‘ offseason.

After falling out of the Eastern Conference Semi-finals to the Miami Heat in highly disappointing fashion, the Bucks’ future, and that of superstar Giannis Antetokounmpo, have been at the center of many discussions in and around the league.

Now, as reports have come out about the Bucks seeking to improve their roster and speculation centering around upgrading on Eric Bledsoe, trade rumors will continue to run rampant in the weeks and months to come.

Much of the early discussion has revolved around veteran Oklahoma City Thunder guard Chris Paul, but recent suggestions point to the Bucks looking elsewhere than seriously inquiring into Paul’s services, despite the glaring need.

Even so, the Bucks’ search to bring in a more skilled and reliable playmaker is much easier said than done. Milwaukee isn’t operating from a position of strength in trade discussions as the urgency to put forth a viable, championship-caliber supporting cast around Antetokounmpo, with a year out from free agency, isn’t so much of an open secret as it is their reality.

With no room for half measures, the Bucks will have to be aggressive in securing the upgrade that they seek over Bledsoe and will have to continue digging into their limited draft assets.

So without further ado, let’s recklessly speculate and run through five veteran guards that could be of use to the Bucks and realistically run through trade scenarios that the Bucks would need to offer up.
