Adding a floor-spacing big man to the frontcourt through free agency could prove to be critical this offseason for the Milwaukee Bucks.

As Behind the Buck Pass’ own Jordan Treske pointed out, adding a frontcourt floor spacer is one of many things on the Milwaukee Bucks‘ to-do list this offseason. Savvy veterans Ersan Ilyasova and Marvin Williams split time at the backup four throughout the season, but the position could soon be vacant depending on how things play out.

Barring a drastic change of heart, Marvin Williams will not return to the Bucks next season as he announced his retirement after 15 seasons immediately following Milwaukee’s postseason exit. Ersan Ilyasova finds himself in a more interesting predicament as the team must decide whether to guarantee his $7 million salary for next season. No matter what they do with the 33-year-old’s contract, the Bucks should look to add more frontcourt depth, although it might prove difficult through free agency.

In a relatively lackluster soon-to-be free agent class, Milwaukee’s options are seemingly limited. With little flexibility spending-wise added on top of that, the Bucks find themselves boxed in as they look to bolster this roster ahead of a crucial 2020-21 NBA season.

Although the pickings are slim overall, there are still a few under the radar candidates that the Bucks could look into bolstering their frontcourt with without breaking the bank.

While fans should not expect someone along the lines or Serge Ibaka or Paul Millsap, here are three impending free agents that the Milwaukee Bucks should pursue this offseason to add frontcourt depth.
