Robin Lopez has a player option for the 2020-21 NBA season, which poses a compelling case whether he should remain with the Milwaukee Bucks.
The Milwaukee Bucks made an interesting move last offseason when they brought in free agent center Robin Lopez on a two-year deal worth approximately $10 million.
Robin took on a backup role behind his twin brother Brook Lopez and proved to be a serviceable rotational piece. In 66 games, the big man averaged 5.4 points on .492/.333/.528 shooting splits while also grabbing 2.4 rebounds and dishing 0.7 assists per game. Making five starts on the season, Robin served as a viable insurance policy when Brook was not available, even if his production was not up to par with that of his brothers.

Now, Robin must weigh in on his future with the Bucks as he ponders a player option worth just north of $5 million for next season. There has been no indication which route the 12-year-veteran plans to take, so only time will tell if he wishes to remain with the franchise.
If the 32-year-old decides to opt-out, the market could be interesting in this rather lackluster free agent class. Several teams could use a center, and Lopez could be there for the taking with little other options available. At this point, that is all just speculation as the offseason is still down the road quite a ways, slated for December 1st.
In the meantime, here is what the Milwaukee Bucks should buy and sell on in Robin Lopez as he ponders his future with the franchise.
