By Dalton Sell
Sterling Brown will hit restricted free agency this offseason, and the Milwaukee Bucks have a decision to make regarding his future with the franchise.
After spending the first three seasons of his NBA career with the Milwaukee Bucks, 25-year-old Sterling Brown is set to enter restricted free agency this offseason.
In his three seasons with the Bucks, the guard has accumulated career averages of 5.2 points on .417/.345/.774 shooting splits, 3.1 rebounds, and 1.0 assists per game. Brown’s time in Milwaukee on the court has been a mixed bag. At times, the former second-round draft pick has shown significant signs of potential, but has also periodically found himself spectating from the sidelines.

Off the court, Brown has, of course, made a much larger impact, serving as a pivotal voice in the fight for social justice following his wrongful arrest in 2018. Just recently, Brown got appointed to the league’s newly formed social justice coalition and will undoubtedly continue to make a difference in the future.
Whether that future is in Milwaukee, however, is the question at hand. Brown will become a restricted free agent this offseason, and Milwaukee has the opportunity to retain the wing if they so desire with a qualifying offer worth $2.02 million. He is one of eight Bucks that can elect to enter free agency, and it is very much unclear to decipher where he stands among the others.
At just 25 years old, Brown has a long NBA career ahead of him, but time will tell in the coming months if Milwaukee believes in him enough to extend him. Without further ado, here is what to buy and what to sell on Sterling Brown in NBA free agency.
