Milwaukee Bucks: 3 threats to sign Kyle Korver in free agency – Boston Celtics

The Boston Celtics have some issues to address this offseason, one of the most prominent being 3-point shooting, or lack thereof. Targeting Kyle Korver, who currently resides as fourth all-time on the NBA 3-pointers made list, would be a viable option to spark some success from long range.

Boston’s reserves ranked 28th in 3-point shooting this season, coming in at a vile 31.8 percent. The second unit also launched the fewest shots from deep by a wide margin this season, landing dead last in the NBA at just 7.6 attempts per game. That number minimized further in the postseason to 5.6 per game, an area they need to improve this offseason.

A player like Korver will not make those numbers skyrocket, but his presence would undoubtedly help. Boston needs a reliable player that can spot up on the perimeter, and that is exactly who Korver is. If they can entice him with a team-friendly deal, the fit makes perfect sense for both sides.

Unlike the other teams featured on the list, Korver has no prior connections to the Boston Celtics. This is merely a suggestion for what seems to be a feasible match. With that being said, it would be reasonable for the Celtics to make a move for Korver to boost their lackluster bench 3-point shooting percentage.
