5 forwards for Milwaukee Bucks to target with 24th overall pick – Saddiq Bey

Saddiq Bey is shaping up to be the latest prospect to flourish at the next level all while coming from the Villanova University pipeline under legendary head coach Jay Wright.

What Bey lacks in flashiness, he more than makes up for in his sturdiness and reliability on both ends of the floor. A shooting surge from beyond the arc helped Bey hit 45.1 percent of his 175 3-pointers as a sophomore last season and cemented his status as a dangerous and willing 3-point shooter upon entering the NBA.

On the other side of the ball, Bey’s ability to defend multiple positions as well as taking challenging assignments like covering opposing ball handlers at his size all add up in him being able to carve out a complementary, yet highly impactful role in the NBA.

While it’s hard to imagine Bey having the pronounced role that he had last season with the Wildcats, the scoring and shooting improvements he showed, along with his defensive prowess, should give him a chance to step into a regular role right away. And it may just lead to him being selected before the Bucks are even on the clock on November 18.
