A recent report from ESPN’s Zach Lowe suggests that the Milwaukee Bucks might entertain Sacramento Kings forward Harrison Barnes in trade talks.

ESPN’s Zach Lowe released a mega-offseason preview piece Thursday morning, and the Milwaukee Bucks were heavily featured throughout.

Lowe discussed current trade speculation surrounding Chris Paul, and Victor Oladipo, but the biggest nugget of interest came from a section furthering Milwaukee’s well-documented interest in Sacramento Kings restricted free agent Bogdan Bogdanovic. Lowe turned some heads when he noted that Milwaukee could entertain the idea of taking on forward Harrison Barnes in a potential sign-and-trade for Bogdanovic:

More from Bucks News

"“In any case, the Bucks will be active. They love Bogdan Bogdanovic, a restricted free agent with the Sacramento Kings who would require a sign-and-trade; the Bucks have kicked around scenarios in which they also absorb Harrison Barnes, sources have told ESPN. It is unclear if they have engaged the Kings in real discussions; it’s early. (Acquiring any player in a sign-and-trade would trigger the hard cap.”"

When the Bucks expressed their desire to upgrade the roster this offseason, Harrison Barnes was likely not a name that came to mind.

The swingman is by no means a bad player, but he does not exactly check off the boxes regarding Milwaukee’s most apparent needs this offseason. If Bogdan Bogdanovic is indeed attached in any deal, the trade talks involving Barnes might get a more welcoming reception.

Nevertheless, with the Bucks now attached to Barnes, evaluating `what he brings to the table was sure to follow. Without further ado, here are three reasons why the Milwaukee Bucks should avoid Harrison Barnes in trade talks with the Sacramento Kings.
