According to a report from The Athletic, the Milwaukee Bucks have agreed to a training camp deal with swingman Treveon Graham, bringing their training camp roster to the maximum 20 players.

The Milwaukee Bucks continue to piece together a reshaped roster with training camp rapidly approaching on December 1st.

Their latest move involves veteran NBA swingman Treveon Graham, as The Athletic’s Eric Nehm reported Friday night. With Graham joining the Bucks in training camp once it starts on Tuesday, their roster now stands at the maximum 20 players, which counts their two-way players.

However long his time in Milwaukee will end up being, Graham has not been able to find his place in the league quite yet since going undrafted in the 2015 NBA Draft.

The 27-year-old has previous played on four teams since making his NBA debut in 2016, where he’s logged stints with the Charlotte Hornets, Brooklyn Nets, Minnesota Timberwolves, and most recently, the Atlanta Hawks.

In that time, Graham has appeared in 180 professional games, with averages of 4.4 points on .383/.333/.691 shooting splits, 2.2 rebounds, and 0.8 assists in 16.0 minutes per game. Along with that, Graham has battled the injury bug extensively throughout his career, having dealt with a slew of injuries that have kept him sidelined often and potentially held back.

While Treveon Graham comes to the Milwaukee Bucks looking to fill a roster spot, he and their other camp invites face plenty of hurdles.

Now having seen his market dry up in free agency ahead of the start of training camp, Graham gets another opportunity to showcase his talents and try to find stability with the Bucks.

While Graham looks the part of a 3-and-D wing and brings some much-needed defensive versatility to wherever he has gone in the league, he’s missing a passable jump shot at this stage in his career. Being a career 33.3 percent 3-point shooter on 360 attempts during his time in the NBA certainly leaves something to be desired.

For the Bucks, who have looked to address their middling 3-point efficiency from the last couple of seasons, Graham certainly doesn’t solve that problem. Still, Graham gives the Bucks another body to run four units during practice and training camp and get a look at a hard-nosed defender who has cut his teeth to last this long in the league after having gone undrafted.

Graham now joins Nik Stauskas, EJ Montgomery, and Justin Patton as the players who will come to into the Bucks’ training camp on non-guaranteed camp deals. While the Bucks do have an open roster spot, the Bucks are right up against the hard cap with the 14 players that have on guaranteed deals as ESPN’s Bobby Marks recently explained following news of Stauskas’ deal.

With camp set to start Tuesday, Graham as well as the other camp invites face an incredibly uphill battle to make the opening night roster when the season starts December 22. Still, making an impression could always help the likes of Graham, Montgomery, Patton and Stauskas land elsewhere around the league, depending on how they fare.
