The elder Antetokounmpo is set to enter his second season with the Bucks after originally coming to Milwaukee in the summer of 2019 on a two-year veteran minimum deal.

But Antetokounmpo’s first season was largely spent on the sidelines as he totaled 129 total NBA minutes with the Bucks for the 2019-20 season, along with a couple of assignment down with the Bucks’ G League affiliate, the Wisconsin Herd.
Now as one of the rare few Bucks players to see stick it out in Milwaukee after their busy offseason, especially from within their bench unit, Antetokounmpo is eager to hit the ground running with the Bucks in hope of seeing more time
So without further ado, let’s dive in and look at three goals for Antetokounmpo to achieve over the Milwaukee Bucks’ 2020-21 season.
Goal no. 1 – Earn more minutes in the Milwaukee Bucks’ rotation
There’s no question as to what Antetokounmpo is hoping to achieve as the Bucks vie for an NBA title this 2020-21 season.
In his first season in Milwaukee, the elder Antetokounmpo only earned a total 129 NBA minutes, with the vast majority of them coming with results well in hand for the Bucks or the opposition. The lone exception was when Antetokounmpo suddenly was inserted in the Bucks’ starting lineup on Greek heritage night in Milwaukee in what ended being a 127-112 loss to the Denver Nuggets back on January 31.
While Antetokounmpo got the pair of assignments with the Herd to see some minutes on the court, there may or may not be the same opportunities available depending on whether the Herd will play in the proposed G League bubble this year.
That leaves the Greek forward with having to break through the Bucks’ rotation while trying to maintain his status as the team’s energetic hype man. While he has the latter down pat, being able to hone his skills and deficiencies will be key to achieving the former.
