Milwaukee Bucks: 3 things to watch for against New York Knicks
By Dalton Sell
Following their Christmas Day victory, the Milwaukee Bucks will head to Madison Square Garden to square off against the New York Knicks.
The Milwaukee Bucks have had an eventful start two games into the 2020-21 season.
Following a distressing one-point opening night loss to the Boston Celtics, Milwaukee bounced back in a big way with a 39-point blowout win against the Golden State Warriors on Christmas Day. All knotted up at 1-1, the Bucks will look to make it two wins in a row as they travel to face the New York Knicks Sunday evening.

New York is 0-2 on the season with losses to the Indiana Pacers and the Philadelphia 76ers, two opponents that will be jockeying alongside the Bucks for positioning in the Eastern Conference this season.
Despite the slow start, the Knicks are expecting big things this coming season with newly hired head coach Tom Thibodeau at the helm, and they could start with a big game against Milwaukee.
Before these two teams take the court, here are three things to watch for as the Milwaukee Bucks take on the New York Knicks tonight.
Whether the Bucks can sustain their red-hot shooting
Throughout the first two games of the season, the Bucks have been lights out with their shooting from behind the arc. In the season opener against the Celtics, Milwaukee shot a solid 14-of-35 from 3-point territory, which was just a preview of what was yet to come.
In their Christmas Day matchup against the Warriors, the Bucks torched their opponent from long-range, having shot an astounding 20-for-37 on the afternoon. Despite the team’s heavy influence on letting it fly, thanks to head coach Mike Budenholzer, Friday’s game was the first time the team connected on 20 threes while shooting at least 50 percent since Bud took over two seasons ago.
Milwaukee’s 54.1 percent outing from long-range will be hard to top, but if they can continue shooting the ball as well as they have throughout the first two games, it would be a welcoming sign.
This Bucks franchise made a considerable effort to shore up their shooting around their cornerstones this offseason, and right now, they are justifiably letting it fly with confidence to start this season.
