Now 14-12 when playing on the road this season, the Bucks have faced their fair share of obstacles when playing on the road this season. This current stretch will be no exception for a few notable reasons we’ll get into shortly.
So without further ado, let’s look at three goals for the Milwaukee Bucks to achieve as they start their three-game road trip against the Orlando magic Sunday evening.
The Milwaukee Bucks return to full health over road trip
This is far easier said than done and while the Bucks haven’t exactly been a MASH unit, they’re not right at the moment when it comes to their full health.
The biggest sources of concern surrounding superstar Giannis Antetokounmpo and the newly acquired P.J. Tucker. Starting with the latter, Tucker has been limited to three appearances 45 total minutes with the Bucks before being sidelined for the last nine games and he is listed as out with his left calf strain going into the Bucks’ meeting with the Magic, per the NBA’s latest injury report.
The mystery around Antetokounmpo, on the other hand, continues as he’s listed as doubtful against Orlando due to left knee soreness, which has kept him out of the Bucks’ last four games.
While it’s certainly a matter of preserving Antetokounmpo’s health when it matters most, especially as the Bucks have 20 games remaining over a 36-day span, the radio silence has left all Bucks fans feeling uncomfortable. The question of whether Antetokounmpo’s balky knee should be of larger concern has gone unanswered, but that silence has spoken volumes as he remains sidelined.
Only time will tell when Antetokounmpo makes his return and the Bucks are trying to walk a fine line with keeping the health of their best player in mind when it matters most.
