The Milwaukee Bucks certainly have not been shy about reconstructing their roster over the past several years as they have built a championship contender.

This was predominantly evident with their trade for Jrue Holiday this offseason after the team shipped off a king’s ransom to acquire him. Following some initial concerns about how he might fit, Holiday has been everything that this team has envisioned, and he will be sticking around for the long haul after signing a four-year extension worth up to $160 million.

General manager Jon Horst and co. have kept that aggressive mindset by improving the roster throughout the season with the additions of veteran P.J. Tucker and Jeff Teague through trade and the buyout market.

Among the massive amount of players that have come and gone through Milwaukee over the past several seasons, several of them have actually improved since departing from the franchise.

Whether it be because of fit, role, financial reasons, or whatever else, here are four former Milwaukee Bucks that have enhanced their play on their new teams.

Sterling Brown has been stellar since leaving the Milwaukee Bucks

Spending the first three seasons of his career with the Bucks, Sterling Brown’s role in the rotation was relatively inconsistent. Looking for a larger opportunity, Brown left Milwaukee this past offseason and signed a deal with the Houston Rockets.

Thus far, the move has benefitted him as the guard has carved out a nice role for himself with the Rockets as he is averaging career bests in several statistical categories. Averaging 24.1 minutes, Brown has put up 8.2 points on .448/.423/.806 shooting splits, 4.4 rebounds, and 1.4 assists in 51 appearances.

Although the Rockets have struggled to find much success since they traded away James Harden in January, they have shifted towards a youth movement that fully embraces pieces like Sterling Brown. He has certainly proved to be a bright spot for them in his short time with the franchise and has likely found himself a home.

Unfortunately, Brown’s career year has been put on pause as he continues battling through a knee injury that has sidelined him since March 10. Furthermore, as first reported by The Athletic’s Shams Charania and Kelly Iko (subscription required), the guard was recently a victim of an assault outside of a Miami club that resulted in multiple face lacerations. Brown is reportedly back in Houston recovering, and hopefully he can get back on the court soon.
