The Milwaukee Bucks showed that they still had some fight in them with a hard-fought battle against the Brooklyn Nets in last night’s Game 6.

Facing elimination by trailing 3-2 in this heavyweight best of seven series, this Milwaukee team came together and put together a stellar game from start to finish. Never trailing throughout their 48 minutes on the floor, the Bucks secured the much-needed 104-89 victory to force a Game 7 this coming Saturday.

While it was certainly a collective effort for the Bucks on both ends of the floor, there were numerous individuals that stamped their names on this game and played a massive factor in the eventual outcome that saw them ultimately come out on top with a win.

These players deserve their props, and with that being said, here are grades for Milwaukee’s second unit, starting five, and opponent from last night’s action-packed Game 6.

How did the Milwaukee Bucks’ second unit perform in Game 6 victory over the Brooklyn Nets?

C-. As expected with this being a do-or-die game for the Bucks, the minutes distributed to the second unit were scarce. The only two reserves to see any meaningful time in this matchup were Pat Connaughton and Bryn Forbes. Playing 22 minutes, Connaughton struggled to get anything to drop offensively as he finished this one shooting 0-for-5 from behind the arc. With his only statistical contributions being two defensive rebounds, it is hard to spot Connaughton’s overall impact, but he did his part defensively when the Bucks ran smaller lineups. On the other hand, Forbes took a smaller role in the rotation by playing just 11 minutes. The guard continued his struggles offensively as he finished with just two points on 1-of-4 shooting from the field, including 0-of-2 from deep in that timeframe. Forbes has taken a backseat because of his limitations defensively and his struggling offense. Aside from these two, no other reserve saw significant time before the Nets waived the white flag and the end of the bench players filled in for the starters. Bobby Portis, Milwaukee’s leading bench scorer in the regular season, did not play for the second consecutive game as many continue to wonder why his playing time has been shredded. Nevertheless, head coach Mike Budenholzer most ran with the starters in this matchup, which worked in his favor.. . Milwaukee Bucks. THE BENCH
