Now it’s down to the two teams as they will duke it out to determine who comes out of the Eastern Conference and book a trip to the NBA Finals and the Bucks will certainly be hoping that they can make a run towards the championship after winning their lone title 50 years ago.
So without further ado, let’s re-examine what all stood out in the Milwaukee Bucks’ season series with the Atlanta Hawks.
Health played a factor in the Milwaukee Bucks’ season series with the Hawks
Throughout all three games in the Bucks’ season series with the Hawks, injuries played an unfortunate factor. That surely affected the Hawks as they were missing the likes of Trae Young, Bogdan Bogdanovic, Clint Capela, Danilo Gallinari, De’Andre Hunter and Cam Reddish at times throughout the season series.
There’s no question that the Hawks’ injury issues played a part in the Bucks taking the season series with victories back on January 24 at Fiserv Forum and on April 15 at State Farm Arena.
That will rear its ugly head once again in this Conference Finals between both parties. The Bucks are already down a key starter in Donte DiVincenzo and the Hawks have lost Hunter for the rest of their season as well. Furthermore, Bogdanovic has been hampered by a sore knee down that occurred down the stretch of their Semifinals series with the 76ers, though it’s unrelated to the fracture he dealt with in his right knee during the regular season.
As we’re seeing with the final four teams left this season, we’re basically at the war of attrition stage in the postseason and the impact of these injuries will inevitably be felt going into this Conference Finals.
