After leading the Milwaukee Bucks to their first title in 50 years, Giannis Antetokounmpo is on top of the world right now.

The reigning Finals MVP had a dominant postseason run that saw him finally get over the hump and claim his first championship, but he has no plans to slow down just yet. Antetokounmpo and the Bucks will be hungry to defend their crown next season, but first, they will have to retool the roster this offseason in free agency.

More from Bucks News

The team has its core pieces such as Giannis, Khris Middleton, Jrue Holiday, and Brook Lopez locked in for the foreseeable future, but several role players remain in question.

Bryn Forbes and Bobby Portis could both be heading out as they ponder player options, which would be a huge blow to the second unit. These two were crucial contributors throughout the team’s title run, largely due to how well they fit alongside Antetokounmpo.

Both shot the ball from 3-point territory with career-best efficiency, which is exactly what the team needs to seek more of this offseason. Given his lack of an outside jumper, placing shooters around Antetokounmpo to space the floor has been a winning formula for the Bucks, and they will be tasked with shoring up their shooting once more this offseason.

With that being said, here are five floor spacing free agents that the Bucks could look to pair with Antetokounmpo this offseason.

The Milwaukee Bucks could pair Tony Snell with Giannis Antetokounmpo in 2021 free agency

The first target here is someone who should strike a chord for Bucks fans, as he played for the organization for three seasons from 2016-2019.

Tony Snell will enter unrestricted free agency after a quiet year with the Atlanta Hawks, where he saw his season end against the Bucks in the Eastern Conference Finals. Snell was hardly in their playoff rotation, but he garnered some attention in the regular season by becoming the first qualified player ever to boast 50/50/100 shooting splits. Playing 47 games, he would finish the year averaging 5.3 points while shooting 51.5 percent from the floor, 56.9 percent from deep, and a perfect 100 percent from the free throw line.

While his numbers certainly do not jump off the page, Snell’s sweet-shooting could make him a feasible target for the Bucks in free agency. He already has experience playing alongside Giannis from their three-year stint together, and seeing them reunite could be a solid move. Not only would Snell help space the floor efficiently, but he would give the team another solid defender to bolster their wing rotation.

If Snell could be had on a cheap deal once free agency kicks off, this would be a solid signing for the Bucks. For a team that has embraced a mentality that revolves around letting it fly, bringing back a familiar face that just had one of the most efficient shooting seasons ever, albeit the small sample size, would be a low-risk, high-reward scenario.
