The Wisconsin Herd, G-League affiliate for the Milwaukee Bucks, announced its training camp roster to begin the 2021-22 season. The Herd are aiming to make some noise with several new additions to their team. There will be plenty of attention on all teams this season, but the Herd should be at the top of the list in regards to a group that can provide instant success.

Bucks fans are familiar with Georgios Kalaitzakis and Sandro Mamukelashveli, the two draft picks from July. They will begin the G-League season as two players that can expect a heavy workload. Along with those two, there are multiple names that should catch the eyes of fans everywhere. With all that being said, here are three players that fans of the Bucks/Herd should watch for during the 2021-22 season.

Milwaukee Bucks: Jalen Lecque is a player to watch for the Wisconsin Herd

Jalen Lecque, the former Brewster Academy standout in high school, occupies one of the roster spots for the Herd. The Bucks signed Lecque a few weeks ago to a training camp deal, so this transaction comes at no surprise.

Lecque is known around the game of basketball for explosive athleticism and highlight-reel plays. Drafted by Phoenix at 19 years old, he was never expected to have a big role on their team. He was eventually included in the Chris Paul trade, sending him to Oklahoma City before being waived and picked up by Indiana. After the Pacers waived him this summer, Lecque is now playing for his third organization in as many years. There may be some fire under him to perform big, no matter what level he plays at.

On a team with multiple high-level guards, Lecque will have plenty of moments to shine in the G-League this season. Despite being undersized, he makes up for his lack of height with a high motor and high intensity on the court. An example is this dunk he threw down during the last G-League season.

Even though he has not contributed in a big way since before he was in the NBA, this is a perfect spot. He has small amounts of pressure while playing with some other talented young players for Wisconsin.
