After winning the 2021 NBA Finals, Giannis Antetokounmpo famously went to Chick-Fil-A and ordered 50 “chicken minis” after scoring a heroic 50 points in Game 6.
Since then, it has become somewhat of a tradition for people to ask Antetokounmpo what he will order after scoring 50 or more points in a game. When he was asked after dropping 54 points in a comeback win over the LA Clippers, the Greek Freak said that he planned on going to Culver’s to order over 50 cheeseburgers to celebrate. He said that while he will not eat them all, he will share some of the 54 cheeseburgers with his children and his dog.
This could have been a simple comedic moment from the Greek Freak like it was when he went to Chick-Fil-A nearly two years ago, but instead, Culver’s took notice and made an incredible gesture to Giannis Antetokounmpo and a great cause he supports.
Culver’s recognizes Giannis Antetokounmpo’s latest outing in a major way
Not only did Culver’s reach out to Giannis Antetokounmpo to come and get his 54 cheeseburgers to celebrate his latest dominant effort, but they took it a step further. The restaurant stated that it would also like to donate 54,000 diapers to the Milwaukee Diaper Mission, which is a group that Antetokounmpo and his partner, Mariah Riddlesprigger, have partnered with in the past. Culver’s could have taken its free publicity from one of the biggest faces in the NBA and left it at that, but the decision to donate a whopping 54,000 diapers to a great like this cause is outright incredible.
Hopefully this is not the last time Antetokounmpo and Culver’s cross paths. Not only would that mean more big games for the Greek Freak, but it could also mean more help to a greater cause. Not that there was any question, but Antetokounmpo’s love for Culver’s is just another example of just how much of a Wisconsinite he has truly become throughout his years in the association as a member of the Milwaukee Bucks.
Stay tuned for what else Giannis Antetokounmpo has in store in what has been a tremendous year for the Greek Freak and the Milwaukee Bucks.
