Bucks have already flipped the script on daunting summer predicament

The Bucks' center position is suddenly looking stacked.

Coming into the summer, the Bucks seemed very thin at the center spot but have quickly turned that perception around with their offseason moves. As of now, Milwaukee has a slew of solid center options on the roster - Myles Turner, Jericho Sims, Kel'el Ware and two-way signing Rafael Castro. Even if Turner's time on the team is limited, the Bucks have plenty of depth behind him to fill out the center spot.

The Bucks have just what they need at center

Sure, none of the Bucks centers are star players. But they don't need to be. Instead, Milwaukee will be happy if their centers can play solid defense and provide complementary offensive skills to support their rising young guards.

The Bucks' guard room might also be in limbo over coming months, but it will definitely highlight Ryan Rollins and Brayden Burries as two of the most promising prospects. Rollins was already solid last season to the tune of 17 points, 5 rebounds and 6 assists per game. But he still needs help from his teammates to run the offense and that's where the centers come in.

Burries is more of a natural shooting guard looking for his own shot rather than playmaking for others. But he will still need support from his centers to transition his game effectively against NBA opponents. If the Bucks decide to go all-in on developing Burries his rookie year, they will need his centers to set good screens and get him open.

Turner is known primarily as a spacing big man who prefers to fire away from three any time he gets an open look. Sims is much the opposite and does his best work diving to the rim for dunks and athletic finishes off passes. Ware actually combines the two elements; he's a capable shooter that hit nearly 40% of his threes last season but also has the size and athleticism to finish jaw-dropping alley oops.

Milwaukee is set with centers no matter what

There's a lot of chatter that the Bucks may be looking to part ways with Turner after dealing Giannis Antetokounmpo to the Heat. The Bucks are now officially a rebuilding team and Turner doesn't quite match the timeline at 30 years old. However, Milwaukee's depth at his position gives them strong options regardless of where Turner ends up.

Ware is only 22 years old and could easily be the Bucks center of the future. Sims, on the other hand, is now 27 and should be entering his prime years. He may be ready for more opportunity as a starter if Turner is traded. As far as the Bucks rebuild goes, center is one position they don't have a desperate need going forward.
