The Milwaukee Bucks have played two Summer League games, and Brayden Burries was not in either of them. No explanation was given, leading to plenty of confusion. However, the answer has come to the surface, as the team announced Sunday night that they officially signed Burries to his rookie deal. Now, he can finally get on the court for the Summer League Bucks.

Brayden Burries should take the court soon
It's strange that Burries and the Bucks did not get this done before Summer League, but whatever the case was, it's now settled. He'll be two games behind, but now, Burries, the 10th pick in this past draft, can start getting some legitimate reps under his belt. As a rookie, every single one of these Summer League games is valuable to get his feet wet in the NBA waters.
What should Milwaukee Bucks fans expect from Burries? A little bit of everything. There will certainly be some jitters, as expected with a rookie, but once he finds his footing, the two guard should make his presence known with his strong shooting, scoring, defense, and rebounding. If he comes out and looks good, it will be a great first sign for Milwaukee's youth movement.
Burries should not be alone joining Summer League
A couple other Bucks should soon join Burries on the squad.
The Giannis Antetokounmpo trade will become official on July 6, meaning Nate Ament will officially be a Buck—Milwaukee had acquired the pick used to draft him from Miami, so he was technically a member of the Heat, preventing him from taking the court with the Bucks. As an incredibly raw piece, it will be good to get Ament on the court and let him get some live game action.
Kam Jones should also join the fray. Like Burries, the team signed him to a two-way deal officially on Sunday night. Now that he is officially on the squad, the Bucks should grant the second-year guard a shot to play on the Summer League team and show his worth. A backcourt with Burries and Jones running the show could be very interesting.
While it was nice seeing Bogoljub Markovic in Milwaukee's Summer League opener and Rafael Castro impressed early, the two biggest draws over the next few weeks will be Burries and Ament. They are the players the Milwaukee Bucks invested a pair of lottery picks into, and it will be great to finally get them playing.
