The Milwaukee Bucks haven't been shy about working out small guards ahead of the 2025 NBA Draft. If the trend continues, it would only make sense if they decided to bring in Florida's Alijah Martin for a pre-draft workout. According to HoopsHype's draft workout tracker, the Sacramento Kings are the only team to work out Martin thus far, and the Bucks would be wise to at least kick the tires.

Martin's skill set is worth the Milwaukee Bucks checking in on

Right off the bat, the Milwaukee Bucks would be wise to beef up their point guard rotation, as they are unsure if both Ryan Rollins and Kevin Porter Jr. will be back while Damian Lillard deals with his Achilles injury. They should be studying as many quality point guards as possible to field a competitive group, and Alijah Martin fits the mold.

What immediately jumps off the page with Martin is his physical profile. He may stand at just 6-foot-2, but he weighs 210 lbs and has jaw-dropping athleticism. Not only is he a terrific transition threat and cutter, two things the Bucks could desperately use, but he's also a pesky defender, utilizing his sturdy frame to flat-out hound opponents of all shapes and sizes.

While defense is his calling card, Martin can also impact the game offensively. During his five-season tenure in college, the guard averaged 12.5 points while shooting 36.4 percent from deep. One area he certainly has room to grow in is his facilitating, as he averaged just 1.6 assists in that same timeframe. It's a prominent question that looms as teams aim to get a feel of where he could land in the draft.

It would be justified if the Milwaukee Bucks wanted to see some of Martin's physical gifts in person ahead of the 2025 NBA Draft. Small guards can be risky due to their ability to get picked on when it comes to defense, but with Martin's sturdy frame and legitimate defensive instincts, he could shatter the mold at the next level.

This front office should be casting as wide of a net as they can when it comes to talented athletes at any position this offseason, but the need for point guard help only amplifies this particular name. Only time will tell if the Milwaukee Bucks follow Sacramento's lead and bring Martin in for a workout.

Mark Sears, AJ Hoggard, and Wade Baldwin IV are all on Milwaukee's workout list, so it wouldn't be too shocking if another small guard came through the door.
