The Wisconsin Herd, G-League affiliate of the Milwaukee Bucks, seemingly made it a priority to add NBA talent to their roster ahead of the new NBA season.

The three names that stand out are Justise Winslow, Terence Davis and Henry Ellenson, players who possess legitimate NBA experience and could serve as veterans for the youngsters. All three players have flashed glimpses of potential, but lately, all of the spotlight has been on Ellenson, who has been on an absolute tear for the Herd.

Henry Ellenson is turning heads with the Bucks G-League squad

Over his last three games, Ellenson has averaged 33.7 points and 13 rebounds while knocking down 57.1 percent of his field goals and a red-hot 55 percent of his 3-pointers. The 6-foot-10 big man has been scoring and rebounding the ball like a man on a mission, but it's the perimeter shooting that has truly stood out, as he's been simply lights out from behind the long line.

Ellenson's best outing came in the Herd's last outing, a loss to the Sioux Falls Skyforce. In 41 minutes, he finished with 39 points, knocking in 14 of his 22 shots while hauling in 13 rebounds to try and give Wisconsin some life. They came up short in the end, but Ellenson's strong play was certainly a silver lining from the contest.

On the season, the 27-year-old is now averaging 19.3 points (the second-highest on the whole team), 9.1 rebounds and 1.4 assists per contest while shooting 53.2 percent from the floor and 36.8 percent from deep in nine matchups. It's been a strong showing for Henry Ellenson so far, as his transition from playing overseas for the past few years to the G-League has been seamless.

If Ellenson keeps playing like this, there is little doubt he could make his comeback dreams a reality as he fights to get back into the NBA. Plenty of teams could use a sweet-shooting big man who can also attack the glass with ferocity. A player like that certainly wouldn't hurt the Milwaukee Bucks, but their roster is currently full, so that is not an option.

Ellenson, who has played for the Pistons, Knicks, Nets and Raptors, could very well make his way back into the NBA soon, more than likely via a 10-day deal when those start to pop up more often.
