3 Bucks who raised their stock in the preseason, 4 who stepped back
By Dalton Sell
Riser - Damian Lillard
There has been plenty of chatter about Damian Lillard this offseason from the outside, with people doubting the guard can reach his lofty expectations with the Bucks. After working tirelessly to get into tip-top shape over these past few months, Lillard came out strong in the preseason and pushed back on the idea that the version of him last year is just who he is at this point.
Faller - AJ Green
If fans had to bet on one young Buck breaking out in the preseason, a majority of the wagers would have likely been placed on AJ Green. Coach Doc Rivers has been high on Green from the moment he took over last season, and it felt like he had a golden opportunity in front of him to capture a larger role with the Milwaukee Bucks next season. Yet, Green didn't do much to raise his individual stock.
Appearing in all four contests, the youngster averaged just 3.8 points while shooting 26.7 percent on his 3-point tries. Considering he was logging 15.7 minutes per contest, Green's production as one of the more experienced young players was simply not up to par. He could still get into the rotation once the regular season kicks off, but he has to shake off this grueling shooting slump.
