There are several former second-round picks still helping teams heading into the Conference Finals. The Knicks are led by Jalen Brunson. Andrew Nembhard is a legitimate playoff riser. Miles McBride is an energizer. Mitchell Robinson also fits that criteria. Aaron Wiggins can turn the tide at any moment. The Milwaukee Bucks need to find help in the second round of the NBA Draft; it's always there.

The draft has always been a weak point for Milwaukee in recent memory. Despite having countless chances to land help in the second round, none have been able to break through and have an impact like the players just mentioned. Jordan Nwora, Sam Merrill, and Sandro Mamukelashvili are all gone, while Andre Jackson Jr., Chris Livingston, and Tyler Smith aren't in the rotation consistently.

When the opportunity is there, the Milwaukee Bucks must capitalize. A good second-round selection could make all the difference, like it has for the remaining teams. The good thing is that the Bucks will have an opportunity to add help very soon; they have to get it right. Landing an impactful pick in the draft could be the jolt they need in their quest to return to title contention.

The Bucks can add help via the 2025 NBA Draft

The 47th pick in the draft might not sound too enticing, but there are always hidden gems littered in every draft. Adding to that this season is the handful of experienced collegiate players who might be ready to help sooner rather than later. The Milwaukee Bucks may have an opportunity to bring in their own impact player, like Nembhard, McBride, or Wiggins.

The front office will do their own evaluations, but this class features plenty of players pegged to go in the area the Bucks will be picking. Wisconsin's John Tonje could be a nice second-unit bucket getter. Micah Peavy could bring the defensive edge this team needs. Darrion Williams could be a do-it-all forward who could serve as a needed energizer. The Milwaukee Bucks will have options.

To be clear, the Pacers, Knicks, Timberwolves and Thunder aren't in the Conference Finals because of their second round picks. They all have superstars and complementary stars leading the way. Yet, the role players around them, including those second rounds, have all done their part. One hidden gem in the vein of a Nembhard or Robinson could change everything for Milwaukee.
