The Milwaukee Bucks have struggled to find routes for adding promising young talent if they need to enter a rebuild, but the Golden State Warriors can offer a solution. NBA Insider Jake Fischer (subscription required) revealed that the Warriors are interested in Myles Turner as a floor-spacing big, and he's a perfect salary match for Jonathan Kuminga. He's definitely a worthwhile trade target for the Bucks, but only if Giannis Antetokounmpo wants out.

The Bucks can rebuild around Kuminga

Unfortunately, Giannis has still not given a clear statement on his commitment to the Bucks. This leaves the front office in a tough position between maximizing the roster now and preparing for a rebuild. If Giannis does want out, Kuminga is not a bad building block for the future.

Although Kuminga has disappointed to start the season, he still has a ton of potential. We are only a few months removed from him averaging 24 points per game on good efficiency in the playoffs after Steph Curry went down with injury. He hasn't fit in well with the Warriors system, but his true potential could be unlocked in Milwaukee alongside other promising young Bucks.

Additionally, Kuminga's poor start to the season could mean that Golden State has to offer more in a trade package for Turner. Turner has also not been the best fit on a Milwaukee team that needs more interior toughness and rebounding, but his shooting could be perfect on the Warriors. His outside threat could free up Curry and provide spacing for the Warriors' non-shooters like Jimmy Butler.

It would be a major win for the Bucks to snag Kuminga and additional assets, such as draft compensation, for Myles Turner. Kuminga can grow tremendously in an environment where he's allowed to make mistakes and be an offensive focal point. The Bucks can provide exactly that if Giannis does want out.

Kuminga's arrival would lessen the blow of losing Giannis, as Kuminga would slot into the same athletic power forward role right away. Obviously, he's not the same level of player as Giannis and is unlikely to ever reach those heights. But he has the potential to one day be a star in his own right and complement guards like Ryan Rollins and Kevin Porter Jr.

It will also lessen the blow of not receiving a blue-chip prospect in exchange for Giannis. The top teams in contention for Giannis' services all seem hesitant on shipping out their best young talents. But pairing Kuminga with a lesser prospect, along with more draft picks, makes it a lot easier to accept losing out on someone like Jalen Johnson or Dylan Harper.
