If the Milwaukee Bucks trade Giannis Antetokounmpo to the Miami Heat, Kel'el Ware will certainly be among those heading to the 414. He's Miami's biggest blue-chip asset, but the Bucks must be greedy and get Kasparas Jakucionis, another potential-filled youngster, as well. If they can, it will set up their impending youth movement very well.
Jakucionis has potential written all over him
The young guard is about to turn 20 years old. He may not have played the most prominent role in his rookie year, but he still averaged 17.8 minutes across 53 appearances. In those minutes, he averaged 6.2 points, 2.6 assists, and 2.6 rebounds while shooting 42.3 percent from downtown. Jakucionis has a knack for scoring, but his pristine passing ability cannot be overlooked.
In addition to his statistics, one of the most fascinating things about Jakucionis is his build. He stands tall at 6-foot-5 and is sturdy at 200 lbs. In today's NBA, big guards who can hold up defensively are all the rage. Small guards who are constantly picked up typically do more harm than good unless they are an elite offensive force like Jalen Brunson. Jakucionis is a big guard brimming with potential.
It would be interesting to see how he fits next to Ryan Rollins, Milwaukee's only ball-handler in the backcourt on the payroll. Rollins emerged as a two-way force last season, and if Jakucionis follows that same path, the Milwaukee Bucks could have a duo that perfectly complements itself with two players who can play with or without the ball and play swarming defense.
Heat's Giannis offer stands as one of the best
In terms of young players the Bucks could get, the Heat are arguably the top suitor out there in any Giannis trade partner. In the right situation, Kel'el Ware has the tools to dominate as a lead big man. Kasparas Jakucionis looks like a two-way stud in the making. Even Tyler Herro, who is older, is just a few years removed from an All-Star campaign—the Bucks could always flip him for more assets.
That goes without mentioning a youngster the Milwaukee Bucks could pick up with the 13th selection in the 2026 NBA Draft courtesy of the Heat.
Other suitors can either center an offer around draft picks (Golden State) or players (Minnesota), but few teams have both. The Miami Heat are one of the rare exceptions. There's no telling if the Bucks go through with a Giannis Antetokounmpo trade leading up to the NBA Draft, but if they do, one suitor is distancing itself from the pack.
