One of the primary objectives for the Milwaukee Bucks this offseason should be adding athleticism. They could do so through the NBA Draft, where they hold the 47th pick, as there are countless young prospects who could help the cause. One is Alijah Martin, the Florida guard who was mocked to the team in No Ceilings' latest mock draft.

Alijah Martin's potential fit with the Milwaukee Bucks

Don't be fooled. Although he stands at just 6-foot-2, Mitchell has elite athleticism that makes him a legitimate threat to throw down a highlight dunk at any given moment. With that comes a knack for getting out in transition, something the Milwaukee Bucks have lacked (and desperately need) next to Giannis Antetokounmpo. These two could be a terror in the open court.

Martin is far more than a dunker, having shot 36.4 percent from downtown during his five-year stay at the college level. He also moves well off the ball, able to slither his way through open points to cut to the hoop. He's coming off a career-high 14.4 points per game season at Florida, where his versatility on offense was one of his greatest strengths.

Speaking of his versatility, Martin has a fascinating build for a defender of his height, weighing in at 210 lbs. He uses that bulky frame to make every possession tough for his matchup. The Bucks could always use another scrappy defender on the roster, and Martin could bring that and some toughness to the backcourt.

Martin, a five-year collegiate player who just won a National Championship with Florida, checks off the boxes of being experienced. The Milwaukee Bucks should be looking for players with several collegiate seasons under their belt in hopes of getting a potential contributor sooner rather than later, and Alijah Martin, 23, could very well be that.

The primary concern with Martin is his height. While he has the build to be a sturdy defender against other guards, he could get picked on by taller wings and forwards. Bucks fans saw this play out back in 2022 with George Hill, who was eviscerated by the taller Boston Celtics players. Things could be different for Martin, who is much younger and more athletic, but the thought still lingers.

Aside from that, he checks off plenty of boxes and could be a worthwhile pick for Milwaukee at 47.
