Former Bucks heading overseas

Patrick Beverley - Hapoel Tel Aviv

Patrick Beverley had to decide between sticking in the NBA on a minimum contract or heading across the pond to play a larger role overseas on what he called a historic offer. He chose the latter, opting to sign with Hapoel Tel Aviv. Even at 36 years old, he has a chance to be one of the premier players in that league, something he can't quite say about the NBA.

It was somewhat surprising that Beverley went overseas; this is a player who was starting postseason games with the Milwaukee Bucks a few months ago. He played well enough to earn another contract, and it felt like he would want to end his career chasing an NBA title. He still ultimately could, but that's put on pause for the time being.

Jordan Nwora - Anadolu Efes

Unlike Patrick Beverley, Jordan Nwora, who played for the Bucks from 2020-22, is not nearing the end of his playing career, as he's just 25. After stints with the Bucks, Pacers and Raptors, the forward now heads overseas to play for Anadolu Efes, where he will have a chance to build up his value and make a name for himself as a player.

The Jordan Nwora experience was a frustrating one in Milwaukee. When he played, he showed signs of impressive potential, particularly as a scorer. However, he also struggled to make leaps both on the defensive end and as a passer, which held him back mightily. Perhaps he can now play a larger role for
Anadolu Efes and work on those things as he tries to make his way back into the NBA.
