Crafting a mock trade between Bucks, Lakers and Magic based on recent rumors
By Dalton Sell
Final thoughts
All three teams get something out of this mock. Milwaukee gets more versatile and younger. Orlando adds another high-end offensive player to complement their core. Los Angeles goes all in on a player who could fill a massive hole in their lineup and would likely make their stars happy.
The prominent question mark here is whether or not the Bucks are willing to part with Lopez, who has been a key piece, a title-winning one at that, over the years. Even at his age, he's still one of the best rim protectors in the association and does fit well with Milwaukee's core. It's all about how serious the team is about becoming more versatile, if that is their true intentions.
Youth has clearly been a need for the Milwaukee Bucks this off-season, and though they've done a nice job of addressing that thus far, this would help keep the ball rolling. A move like this could help extend Milwaukee's title window, as both players coming in are 25 years old and barely scratching the surface of their primes. There's a lot to like about how they'd fit in.
Keep an eye on Brook Lopez, Bobby Portis and Pat Connaughton for the remainder of the off-season as the Milwaukee Bucks explore countless ways to improve the roster via trade.
