How Damian Lillard will adjust in year two

Giannis Antetokounmpo was asked what he learned about playing together with Damian Lillard in their first season. Giannis discussed the preferences about where they prefer to work on the court, when they prefer to make their moves and what they can do to adjust to each others' styles, mainly regarding bringing the ball up the floor.

Antetokounmpo mentioned that Damian Lillard is more of a pure point guard, and that adjustment caused some trouble between the two because Giannis is a grab the ball off the rim and go type player. Giannis talked about positionless basketball.

The next thing Milwaukee Bucks fans should be watching in training camp and in preseason is if Damian Lillard and Giannis Antetokounmpo can work together on understanding when Giannis is going to grab the rebound and outlet the ball to Damian Lillard, and in other scenarios, if Lillard can recognize that the Bucks can have a fast break advantage if he runs up the floor and spots up more like a traditional shooting guard.

Last season, the Milwaukee Bucks ranked 28th in fastbreak points per game; if Giannis Antetokounmpo and Damian Lillard can get their unspoken communication on point in transition, they can certainly improve that ranking.

There are certainly more things that will arise during training camp and preseason that aren't on this list, but going through quotes from the general manager, head coach and two most important players, these are the beginnings of the most important things to keep an eye on after Media Day.
