2015-16 Outlook
The Wizards may not have made any dramatic moves this summer, but they made subtle improvements to compliment a young core that is continuing to grow and flourish in its own right.
It now seems hard to argue against John Wall being one of the league’s best point guards, and at 24, he’s still improving.
While Wall has grown into one of the league’s best floor generals, mostly due to the threat that he poses on both ends of the floor, what’s most exciting for Wizards fans is the fact that he now seems to have genuine running mates to play with.
Bradley Beal had his share of injury disappointments last season, yet when he was on the court, he looked a player transformed, and the type of dynamic two guard that teams need to succeed in the NBA now.
The Wizards also seem to have another great young player on their hands in Otto Porter, who made big strides last season before truly coming into his own in the playoffs.
With Nene and Marcin Gortat providing a pair of wily veterans up front, the Wizards really are a formidable team, who have improved their role players with the addition of Dudley, Neal and Anderson.
The Wizards are firmly in position to make a push for the top.
How The Bucks Compare
The Wizards feel like a team who are just a little bit further down the line in their development process than Milwaukee, as their star player John Wall prepares for his sixth season as a professional.
The Bucks definitely have the players to be competitive with the Wizards, but they would likely need to take advantage of their extra youth and athleticism up front if they were to be truly successful.
At the end of the day though, John Wall is becoming a force of nature. If the Bucks are to come out on top in any meeting with the Wizards, they would need Michael Carter-Williams to be on his game.
