Win in 6 Podcast #217: The Breakfast Club emergency episode
By Adam McGee
The latest episode of our Win In 6 Podcast arrives with reaction to the Milwaukee Bucks’ reported agreement with Mike Budenholzer to be head coach.
The latest episode of our Win In 6 Podcast arrives hot on the heels of news that Mike Budenholzer has reached agreement with the Milwaukee Bucks to be the team’s new head coach.
After the end of a two-week search, the Bucks have reportedly decided on Budenholzer to be the team’s new head coach. Ettore Messina also made the final round of interviews, but never had the luxury of meeting key players as Budenholzer did in Milwaukee on Wednesday morning.
With Budenholzer all but official, there’s reason for Bucks fans to not only breathe a sigh of relief, but also get excited about the future. Of course, that means there’s also a lot for us to unpack.

To start with, we discussed immediate reactions to the news and what the Bucks should learn from hiring a different kind of coach than what they’ve been used to, and Budenholzer, in particular.
From there, we also talked about Messina being beaten to the job at the final hurdle, and the breakfast meeting that formed Milwaukee’s own version of The Breakfast Club.
Lastly, we fielded questions from our listeners via the mailbag on how Bud’s team will look, his impact on individual players, and much, much more.
Joining me for this episode were Jordan Treske and Rohan Katti.
