The latest episode of our Milwaukee Bucks podcast arrives with reaction to, and extended discussion of, Thon Maker’s surprising trade request.
The Win In 6 Podcast is back a little sooner than expected, as the Milwaukee Bucks look set to have a busier trade deadline than most would have initially anticipated.
A report that emerged on Sunday evening revealed third year Bucks center Thon Maker is seeking a trade away from the NBA’s best team, in search of a team that can provide him with a larger role.

Maker has received playing opportunities across his time with the Bucks, but most recently, D.J. Wilson has seized similar opportunities in a way which his Australian teammate has been unable to over the years.
We discussed why this request from Maker is surprising because of the limited success he’s enjoyed in his career to date, while also being somewhat understandable with no obvious path to him returning to a key role currently in sight.
We also touched on how Maker’s career has been almost uniquely guided by the influence of agents and managers, and how the nature of the report leaves questions as to what part those same kind of figures have played in this decision.
Lastly, we touched on what the Bucks may look for in return for Maker, and what the realistic parameters of a deal prior to the trade deadline could look like.
Joining me for this episode was, the man who saw the trade request in his tarot cards, Jordan Treske.
