Milwaukee will start things off with a top-heavy matchup against the Dallas Mavericks on December 12, all of which will tip off at 7 p.m. central time at Fiserv Forum. Just two days later on December 14, same tip time and all, they will face Dallas in their friendly confines once more as the NBA limits travel due to the ongoing coronavirus pandemic.
Following their pair of preseason tilts against the Mavericks, the Bucks will travel to face the New Orleans Pelicans for a December 18th game at the Smoothie King Center, where they will face against one familiar face in particular.
It will mark as something of a reunion of sorts as the Bucks will meet against Eric Bledsoe, who was dealt to New Orleans as part of the Jrue Holiday trade that saw the Bucks part ways with their previous backcourt with both Bledsoe and George Hill, who was eventually shipped to the Oklahoma City Thunder.
While it is just preseason, it will be refreshing to see the Milwaukee Bucks back in action with some fresh faces on their roster ahead of next season.
The Bucks have obviously spent a majority of the offseason reshaping their roster, and fans are justifiably eager to see the new acquisitions on the court. With a substantial portion of their reconstructed roster joining Milwaukee through trade, draft and free agency, the preseason will give the Bucks a much-needed opportunity to build up chemistry in this condensed offseason.
Without question, Holiday is the most intriguing, and even if the one-time All-Star sees limited minutes, it will be captivating to see him share the court with Giannis Antetokounmpo and Khris Middleton. Bryn Forbes, Torrey Craig, and Bobby Portis are just a few more names on the long list of players that will make their Bucks’ debut in the preseason and need to get familiarized with their new teammates.
Before all that, the Bucks will begin training camp this coming Tuesday to kick off the month of December. After the reported signing of Treveon Graham, the Bucks have filled out their 20-man roster going into the start of training camp Tuesday.
While all but one question remains answered as to their offseason dealings, Milwaukee Bucks basketball is almost back. With a revamped roster and plenty of motivation to make good on their championship promises, there are plenty of reasons to be excited.
