The Milwaukee Bucks were initially scheduled to take on the New Orleans Pelicans as the visitors on Wednesday night, but that will no longer be the case.

Multiple sources have now reported that the game is being postponed due to the snowstorm down in New Orleans, as many roads are unsafe. No date to make up this matchup has been announced yet. Though the Milwaukee Bucks will for sure now have at least one extra day of rest, there are questions about whether it might soon become even more due to some lingering travel concerns for the Bucks.

The New Orleans' weather poses questions for the Bucks' travel plans

As pointed out by NBA insider Chris Haynes, the Bucks are currently scheduled to take on the Miami Heat on Thursday. However, Haynes states there is concern about whether the team will be able to depart from New Orleans to make it back home to Milwaukee for the matchup. Obviously, if the Bucks are unable to get back home on time, there's a legitimate chance another game gets postponed.

Of course, above all else, safety is the priority. If a few games have to get postponed to ensure the safety of everyone, so be it. A couple extra days of rest wouldn't be a bad thing for this veteran unit that has dealt with some injuries this season, though some might worry it will throw off the rhythm this team has gotten themselves in throughout their recent 4-0 surge. Again, safety is the key.

Updates on the rescheduled dates for this game (as well as potentially the one against Miami if it does indeed get postponed) will be updated here. With the Bucks and Heat both battling for position in the tight Eastern Conference standings, that could be a crucial game. It will be interesting to see if the Heat still have Jimmy Butler at that point, as there have been plenty of rumors about a trade.

In the meantime, Milwaukee Bucks fans can currently entertain themselves by catching up on all of the latest trade rumors and rumblings as we approach the February 6 NBA Trade Deadline. There's been plenty of talk about Milwaukee's desire to make a move to beef up this roster, which may even involve the aforementioned Miami Heat. It should be an interesting few weeks in the NBA ahead.
