The Milwaukee Bucks continue to bring in prospects likely to go undrafted in the 2025 NBA Draft for workouts as the big event inches closer. One of the most recent prospects on their radar is UC Santa Barbara's Cole Anderson, a sweet-shooting guard who would fit right in due to his ability to space the floor for Giannis Antetokounmpo.

Bucks will always look to bring in more shooting

Anderson has spent the last four years as one of the nation's best long-range shooters, knocking in an incredible 43.2 percent of his triple tries. This past year, his senior season, he buried a remarkable 47.4 percent from distance. Anderson can light it up with every shot, and that type of spacing makes him a tremendous on-paper fit with Giannis Antetokounmpo.

The blueprint is there. For years, the Milwaukee Bucks have targeted designated shooters to provide Giannis with quality spacing. Kyle Korver. Bryn Forbes. Grayson Allen. This past season, Gary Trent Jr. and AJ Green. With a player like Giannis commanding so much attention, it leaves shooters open. It's no surprise that several of these players had career years when playing with the Greek Freak.

Is Anderson the next great floor spacer to thrive next to Giannis? Never say never. Many would say no to that, but AJ Green was an unheard-of, undrafted shooter from Northern Iowa before he landed with the Milwaukee Bucks, and he's become a key cog with the franchise. If Anderson can translate that level of shooting to the NBA level, he could certainly follow in Green's footsteps.

Picking up Anderson after that draft would be low-risk. The Milwaukee Bucks could see what he's made of in the Summer League. If he looks like he belongs, they could stash him with the G League sqaud, the Wisconsin Herd, and see what kind of numbers he puts up there. If he impresses, he may have a chance to earn a shot at the NBA level, just like AJ Green before him.

For a team that desperately needs to find young, hidden gem contributors, bringing in someone like Anderson as an undrafted flyer would make plenty of sense. That is especially true with rumors in the air that Gary Trent Jr. returning to the Milwaukee Bucks is far from certain. Losing him would take away one of the team's best shooters. Perhaps Anderson could help in that area.
